The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, high school, and adapted primary and secondary school. We have over 3,200 employees at 45 preschools, 22 primary schools, and four high schools. The position and tasks

Are you a chef with drive and commitment and want to help create a pleasant dining experience for our children? Why not take the chance and apply for the job with us! We offer a 5-month temporary position at Vallmon Preschool, a modern preschool with a contemporary kitchen and a large, lovely dining room.

As a chef with us, you are an important part of the preschool's daily life and operations. Together with other colleagues in the kitchen, you contribute to a welcoming and pleasant meal for every child. You prepare nutritious, safe, and delicious meals of high quality according to Botkyrka Municipality's objectives. Your role includes working according to the unit's self-control program and following the municipality's objectives and the unit's established goals, guiding documents, and policies. You are responsible for the daily work in the kitchen and lead colleagues.

Your tasks as a chef include preparing special diets and adapted meals, placing orders for food and other products, and performing other common tasks such as salad preparation, organizing and serving meals, receiving and unpacking goods, washing dishes, and keeping the kitchen's premises clean and orderly. You are responsible for supplier orders and daily staffing issues in the kitchen. You want to develop your skills by staying informed in your field and participating in various training initiatives offered by the employer.

You will join an experienced kitchen team consisting of two meal assistants and another chef who work closely together. Creativity, joy, curiosity, and commitment are welcomed here.

Who we are looking for

Requirements:

• Trained or validated as a chef.
• Good digital skills.
• Proficient in Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Documented training in food hygiene and self-control.
• Experience with special diets and adapted meals, such as vegetarian cooking.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in a large kitchen.
• Experience working in preschool/school and cooking for younger children.
• A strong interest in cooking and the ability to focus on the guest with a high sense of service.

As a person, you are structured and complete your tasks with good quality. You are creative and think constructively in new ways. It is natural for you to collaborate with your colleagues to achieve the common goal and quickly find solutions to emerging problems.
