Sundsvall Montessori School is located near the beautiful Sidsjö area, close to both the lake and beautiful forest environments. The school currently has just over 240 students. There are four working teams at the school: F-3, 4-6, 7-9, and after-school care.
To stimulate students' development and learning, we work according to Montessori pedagogy. The pedagogy follows the child throughout their school years, from the toddler department in preschool to grade 9. We place the student at the center and strive to provide each student with the best possible conditions to develop their full potential. The work is partly done in age-mixed groups.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will belong to the after-school care team, plan activities for the after-school care in connection with the curriculum, and collaborate with teachers in the F-3 working teams.
You will base your planning and implementation of teaching on the needs of the student group to provide each student with the best possible learning situation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is an educated Recreation Teacher/Teacher in After School Care, preferably with subject qualifications in music, art, or sports. You are passionate about outdoor education and see the outdoor environment as a natural part of teaching.
We want you to see it as important to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good communication skills, clear leadership, and a strong ability to collaborate. You reflect on your teaching and how it can be developed through evaluation and application of Montessori pedagogy and current research as part of the school's systematic quality work.
It is an advantage if you have Montessori training, experience, or some knowledge of Montessori pedagogy, but it is not a requirement.
