Do you want to work at our resource school where clarity and a smaller context are crucial for the development of each individual student? We are looking for someone who wants to work in smaller student groups where the individual development of the student is the focus. Our municipality, and thus our operations, are developing, and right now we need more educators. Within the educational activities of Ånge municipality, we work according to a common thread, with a shared view of development and learning all the way from preschool, through primary school and adapted primary school to upper secondary and adult education. In our municipality, we actively work to increase school attendance, and as part of this work, all our staff are trained in, among other things, neuropsychiatric disabilities "NPF", mental training, and what a language and knowledge-developing working method "SKUA" means.
In the autumn of 2023, our resource school started as a pilot project, where the good results have led to the operation now being permanent. The resource school's activities are characterized by adapted learning environments with smaller student groups, high staff density, and relationship-building methods. Placement at the resource school in Ånge is possible for students from preschool class to grade 9, from all over Ånge municipality. The target group is students who need extraordinary support measures to achieve a functioning school situation, students with significant challenges in language, communication, and social interaction, especially where the need for special clarity and a smaller context is pronounced. Students at our unit may have a diagnosis of severe autism spectrum disorder or severe language impairment, but a formal diagnosis is not a requirement. A social service dog team works with the school, where the dog is a valued part of the staff puzzle.
The school is centrally located in Ånge, and the premises have been adapted to meet the students' needs to increase comfort and safety. The activities (teaching, breaks, meals) take place in a calm and purposeful environment, adapted both for each student and for the student group. Schooling is adapted from both a pedagogical and a psychosocial perspective for each individual student, aiming to provide each student with the best possible conditions to achieve the goals in the various subjects and to increase well-being in the school environment. Teaching is based on structure and clarity, with students' safety and well-being in focus. The educators have a close relationship with the students and maintain close dialogue with their guardians. The school has a student health team with access to all functions within student health, as well as a school speech therapist and school psychologist specifically linked to the operation. We are now looking for teachers for teaching our younger students at our resource school. In a smaller context, the individual needs of students are met in a calm, safe, and adapted environment, which benefits social development, improved well-being, and increased self-esteem. Through enhanced support and an accessible learning environment, children and young people are stimulated to a zest for life, creativity, movement, and a healthy life in a safe community. In a clear and predictable learning environment, students are given the opportunity to eagerly acquire knowledge based on each individual's conditions, enabling good knowledge development and creating tomorrow's competent role models who welcome differences and uphold the equal value of all people. In Ånge municipality, the shared responsibility and commitment are important, and if you, as an applicant, have a sought-after competence, perhaps more units are in need of your skills. Staff employed within the educational activities in Ånge municipality must undergo the Special Educational School Authority's study package on neuropsychiatric disabilities or be able to demonstrate similar knowledge.

Job ResponsibilitiesYou will have the pedagogical responsibility for teaching with pedagogical planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching according to Lgr 22. We work collegially to develop the quality of our teaching and adapt the available learning environment. You see it as a given to collaborate with your colleagues and external actors. You are interested in improvement logic and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences, are open to developing yourself, and take responsibility for developing the operation.
Additional InformationWe offer a permanent position at 100%, starting from 2025-08-11 or by agreement.
