Controller for Long-Term Consulting Assignment at SJR

SJR is now hiring a Controller for a long-term consulting assignment of 10 months with our client located in Järfälla. The assignment is set to start as soon as possible and there is an opportunity for hybrid work. We are looking for someone who wants to join SJR as an employed consultant with a monthly salary and pension benefits according to collective agreements.

About the Position

We are seeking a business-driven and analytical Controller for a leading international company in the defense industry. You will be part of the finance department and work closely with production to ensure effective financial management. Here, you will play a key role in analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing production processes from a financial perspective.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze and support production to ensure business and financial goal fulfillment.
• Review production plans and identify risks and areas for improvement, such as capital tied up in inventory.
• Participate in the production management group and act as a financial advisor to the production manager.
• Monitor manufacturing costs and calculation variances in collaboration with project leaders.
• Develop and analyze calculation models for production and manufacturing costs.
• Support project managers and Business Controllers in understanding transactions and connections between financial systems.
• Monitor production and material overhead costs and support in line economics and indirect costs.
• Be responsible for financial monthly reporting for production.
• Drive and coordinate issues related to investment requests.
• Specialize in business systems such as IFS, Agresso, and other IT tools.

Suitable Background

• At least three years of experience as a controller, preferably in production or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills and a business-oriented drive.
• Able to challenge and improve existing processes.
• A post-secondary education in finance (e.g., bachelor's degree in economics or business administration).
• Good understanding of production flows and business processes.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and experience with financial systems (IFS and Agresso are advantageous).
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for a communicative and proactive person with at least three years of experience in controlling. You enjoy taking responsibility, questioning existing processes, and driving improvements. With strong analytical skills, you effectively identify areas for development and translate insights into concrete actions. You have a solid financial background, preferably as a bachelor's or master's degree holder in economics, and a good understanding of both production and business operations. Your ability to prioritize and work in a structured manner enables you to drive continuous improvements with a focus on efficiency. Furthermore, you have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and are fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Experience with IFS and Agresso is advantageous but not required.
