About our job opening

As a nurse with us, we offer a stimulating job with the opportunity to work with advanced care combined with good nursing supported by competent and experienced colleagues.

You will develop by using your skills within the team and grow by learning from others' expertise. The combination of advanced medical technology and nursing, such as palliative care, is fundamental to your tasks.

In our department, our patients can receive curative and palliative treatment with chemotherapy and radiation therapy, which can involve everything from intensive care to caring for patients in the terminal stages of cancer.

Working hours

The position involves day, evening, and working 2 out of 5 weekends. We plan individual schedules with a 10-week interval.

About us

The Hematology and Oncology Unit consists of an inpatient department, oncology clinic, hematology clinic, hematology day care, and oncology day care. We specialize in caring for patients with hematological and oncological conditions. Additionally, we care for internal medicine patients.

Cancer care is constantly evolving, with much research ongoing, and many of our patients participate in research studies conducted within the unit, creating a development-oriented and exciting work environment.

We are a close-knit and secure team that works together, learns from each other, and is supported by engaged leaders. We have a culture where we work daily on our work environment and want all our colleagues to leave work with a good feeling.

We offer you

  • A safe and good working environment
  • Varied work with a lot of personal responsibility
  • Continuous professional development, including rotation to our outpatient care as part of your development plan
  • A close-knit team
  • Stable leadership

We have the opportunity, together with an experienced nurse, to offer you an introduction tailored to your specific needs.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish nursing license and at least four months of experience in the profession.

You have an interest in working with cancer care, and if you have further education and/or experience in hematology, oncology, or palliative care, it is an advantage. We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient and takes responsibility for their tasks while also having good collaboration skills and communicating easily with others. As a person, you are secure, and we value your ability to handle different work tempos.

If you are in your final term of the nursing program or have less than four months of professional experience, you are encouraged to apply for our introduction program. Read more about SÄS introduction for newly graduated nurses here.

Welcome with your application; we may handle selection and interviews on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application today. Please attach your professional license.
