Your role

Do you want to work with more aspects of software development than just coding? With us, you will feel like the engineer you are, as we have a breadth of technology and interfaces that are beyond the ordinary.

The business unit Underwater Systems provides both military and civilian products that offer capabilities both above and below the water surface. Versatility, flexibility, and high availability are characteristics that define all our products.

As a software developer, you will work on developing software within one of our underwater product areas such as autonomous and remotely operated vehicles, torpedo systems, and sensor systems. Alternatively, you may join our DevOps team, which supports the development teams and also works towards the software transformation that is one of Saab's overarching goals.

You will be part of an agile team that supports you and your personal development with us. Together, you are responsible for the software at several levels; from hardware-near to application and user interface. This provides great flexibility with varying tasks depending on interest and needs. The languages we primarily use are C/C++/Python.

Your profile

We are looking for both those who are at the beginning of their careers and those who have more experience. Regardless of which phase you are in, we want you to grow and thrive with us. Therefore, we will adapt tasks and responsibilities according to experience, knowledge, and interest. The main thing is that you want to take on new challenges, are open to working with varying tasks, and want to develop in the technical area you are passionate about - software development.

You are a Master's/Bachelor's engineer or have equivalent knowledge with a focus on software development for embedded systems. Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing is a requirement.

Right now, we are particularly looking for individuals with experience or interest in Software Systems Engineering or who want to work with and drive issues related to DevOps/SW transformation. However, all areas within software development are of interest as we are growing rapidly.

The location is Linköping. Due to security requirements, we have no possibility for remote work.
