Electrical Manager at Outokumpu in Avesta – Make a difference in a sustainable industry

Outokumpu in Avesta is now looking for an Electrical Manager who wants to take responsibility for optimizing and developing our electrical power facility.

About the role:

As Electrical Manager at Outokumpu, you will have overall responsibility for the local high-voltage facility and electricity distribution. You will lead a team of electricians and electrical engineers, ensuring that our operations adhere to the highest safety and quality standards. You will work on developing work methods, creating improvements, and maintaining efficient and sustainable operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of three employees, electricians, and electrical engineers.
• Obtain electrical responsibility for the Avesta facility and ensure compliance with metrics, laws, and safety regulations.
• Initiate and drive projects and improvement efforts to optimize and streamline operations.
• Preventive maintenance of the high-voltage facility and optimize the facility's performance.
• Ensure that we have an emergency response team to handle any disruptions.

About you:

You are a visionary and communicative person with a technical interest and a passion for developing both people and processes. You have a background in electrical power and experience in leading teams and/or projects. We are looking for someone who is results-oriented, structured, and has the ability to make decisions and drive change.

We believe you have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, electrical energy, automation, or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in electrical power, preferably in industry or electricity distribution.
• Experience in leadership, preferably in technical teams.
• Good knowledge of high voltage and electrical power.
• The ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• A-authorization is advantageous but can be obtained if missing.
