Job Responsibilities

In the role of operations technician, you will primarily work with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities, such as sewage treatment plants, wetlands, waterworks, pumping stations, and monitoring these facilities via the monitoring system.

Daily operational tasks include the operation of water and wastewater facilities, preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities and equipment, internal and external collaborations, and reporting of deviations.

On-call duty may occur in this position.

The Community Building Administration is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's properties, water and wastewater systems, and public environments. We work to make Nynäshamn an attractive and sustainable municipality with well-maintained infrastructure and a pleasant urban environment.

The water and wastewater department has a collective responsibility for water and wastewater issues within the operational area for public water and sewage within Nynäshamn Municipality. The department head is responsible for the water and wastewater management and ensuring that the critical community operations function.

The department is responsible for both the strategic development of the public water and wastewater facilities and holds the operational and maintenance responsibility for existing facilities.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you have:

• relevant technical education or experience that can be deemed equivalent
• experience in the water and wastewater industry, preferably in the role of operations technician or another equivalent role
• good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as basic knowledge of English
• A driver's license (B) is a requirement

It is an advantage if you have:

• education in wastewater treatment, drinking water supply
• experience with operational monitoring systems
