The Water and Wastewater Department is under the Technical Administration, which has a total of 160 employees. The Water and Wastewater Department has 13 employees, and the municipality has decided on a new water service plan.
The Water and Wastewater Department is looking for an engineer to work with environmental and project management for our water and wastewater facilities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an engineer focused on environment and projects, you will work broadly. The work is conducted in a computerized environment, and we are on a journey to become even more digitalized, which means you should be interested in and enjoy applying IT systems and new technology. You will work with everything related to drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and sludge. You will ensure that self-monitoring programs are updated and followed, operational follow-ups of waterworks, treatment plants, as well as quarterly and environmental reporting.
You will be involved and proactive in our upcoming projects involving the reconstruction of waterworks, treatment plants, and pumping stations. The position will evolve over time based on your skills and our needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience is required, and we want you to be a civil or university engineer in areas such as Water and Wastewater, Environmental Technology, or Civil Engineering, and/or equivalent competence gained through work experience. You drive your work independently and work in a structured manner. It is important that you have an interest in working in an organization with many and broad tasks where you contribute your expertise to develop the Water and Wastewater unit as a whole. Our employees work both in teams and individually, so it is important that you find it easy to collaborate with others and enjoy doing so. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, engagement, teamwork ability, and interest in your job.
For the position, you need to have good computer skills and be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
