In Ronneby, we care about the environment. We invest in food with organic and climate-smart choices as natural elements on the menu. We cook a lot from scratch and aim to increase the organic share of food to 50% while reducing waste and our climate footprint. We are developing towards serving seasonal, thoughtful, and varied food made from fresh, high-quality ingredients while providing our guests with good service and a warm welcome. We are now focusing on improving meals, service, and cooking methods, and you will be an important piece of that development.

The food unit currently consists of 39 kitchens with 1-25 employees in each kitchen, totaling about 110 people. We have production kitchens in most preschools, 4 care homes with their own cooking, and 3 larger production kitchens that deliver food to preschools, schools, and care services. In total, we serve about 6000 portions per day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a chef in the staff pool, you will step in to cover for illness and leave. The tasks can vary greatly depending on which kitchen you will be in.

You may work alone, with all the responsibility that entails one day, and be in a kitchen with several colleagues the next day. You will find yourself in production kitchens, reception kitchens, or serving kitchens with varying tasks.

You will perform all tasks within the kitchen and restaurant, such as cooking (including special diets), preparing salad buffets, serving various diets, planning and ordering, self-control, dishwashing, and cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained chef or has other education that the employer deems equivalent.

You should have good knowledge of large-scale kitchen production, special diets, relevant legislation, self-control, and kitchen economics. The job requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.

We would like you to have previous professional experience as a chef. Experience from the public sector is an advantage.

You are flexible, have a genuine interest in meals, and enjoy meeting our children and elderly in their daily lives. You have the ability to be self-sufficient and take responsibility while contributing to good collaboration in your team. You have a good sense of service.
