TURAB, Turbine & Regulator Service AB has been manufacturing, maintaining, and renovating water turbines since its inception in 1965. Through a combination of extensive experience and strong customer focus, we carry out projects mainly in Sweden but also abroad.

Thanks to its technical expertise, in-house manufacturing, and traveling technicians at the disposal of its customers, TURAB is a leading comprehensive supplier to the Swedish small-scale hydropower industry.

TURAB is owned by IDUN Industrier, which has a lifelong ownership perspective. The company is located in Nässjö and has just over 25 employees.

About the Position

TURAB needs to strengthen its CNC department and is now looking for employees who want to contribute to continued success in an industry with a strong environmental and sustainability focus. Job Description

In the role of Turner, you will work independently on CNC lathes as well as carousel lathes. There is also operation of manual lathes.

In the role of Miller, you will work independently on various CNC milling machines. There are also tasks in manual machines.

Manufacturing is done based on drawing specifications, with programming in MasterCam.

Common tasks include:

  • performing machine operations
  • performing machine setup/rigging
  • proposing technical solutions
  • conducting quality checks on manufactured parts
  • performing machine maintenance
  • conducting improvement work

We are looking for someone who

Has previously worked with CNC-controlled machines. To succeed in your role, you should be able to read and understand drawings, set up the machine, and program it. Additionally, we would like you to have experience in tool changing, rigging, and be familiar with using measuring instruments.

As a person, you are curious and quick to learn, contributing to a positive atmosphere among your colleagues. You are organized, attentive, and flexible. You describe yourself as technically inclined and enjoy learning new things. It is important for you to develop in your role, and you understand the importance of delivering products with high quality.

It is a plus if you have

  • experience with preparation programs (e.g., MasterCam).
  • worked in control systems like Heidenhain, Fagor, or Fanuc/ISO environments.
  • forklift training
  • overhead crane training
