We are now looking for a head waiter for Sånga's restaurant Svea.

Who are you?

You have several years of practical experience in restaurant and dining room work with a genuine interest in food and drink combined. You love to give your guests unforgettable experiences and have a fantastic hospitality that you deliver authentically and without pretension. You are skilled at helping your colleagues grow and be inspired and engaged. You love being in the heart of the operation where everything happens, and you want to be part of a team that constantly wants to develop. You have a warm personality with a good sense of humor and believe it is important to have fun at work.

You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred qualifications:

• Post-secondary education with a focus on gastronomy/tourism
• At least two years of experience in a supervisory position within the restaurant industry
• Sommelier education
• Familiarity with Spectra and/or other hotel and restaurant systems
• Other language skills besides Swedish and English

Job responsibilities:

The position primarily involves standard tasks in the restaurant such as planning, ordering, serving, and setting up breakfast, lunches, and dinners, as well as serving in other areas such as conferences, relaxation by the water, bars, and lounges.

As a head waiter, you are a key player as you are often the first face the guest meets. You ensure that the service is top-notch, maintain good communication between all departments and guests. Your attentiveness helps to move the work forward in the restaurant and to maintain the quality and atmosphere we have created and create every day.

You and the other head waiters also assist with scheduling and staff planning as well as other administrative tasks. Some reception work may also occur. At Sånga, there is no US and THEM, but TOGETHER we help each other across all departments when needed.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with varied working hours – days, evenings, and weekends. We have a collective agreement.
