Technical Product Manager at Nordic Brass Gusum
We are looking for a technical product manager who dares to think big while keeping their feet on the ground.

In the small industrial town of Gusum, surrounded by Östgöta forests and rich history, lies one of Europe’s leading production units for brass. Here, tradition and innovation meet in a unique way. Nordic Brass Gusum, which is the only brass mill in the Nordic countries, is now looking for an engaged and driven product manager – a key role in a company that places sustainability and customer-tailored solutions at its core.
A Circular Company with Expertise
Nordic Brass Gusum is not just any company. With roots dating back to the 1600s, it has developed into a global player in the manufacturing of brass products such as bars, ingots, and special solutions for industries like HVAC, construction, automotive, and telecom. The company produces approximately 25,000 tons of brass annually, which is 100% recyclable – a true circular mindset in practice.
With around 120 employees and a turnover of over 1 billion SEK, Nordic Brass Gusum works to meet customer demands through a combination of high competence and great flexibility. This enables the creation of customer-unique solutions that truly make a difference.
Your Future Challenge
As a product manager at Nordic Brass Gusum, you will have a varied and challenging everyday life where your ability to think strategically combines with operational responsibility. The role involves close collaboration with the CEO and marketing manager, and you are a key person in both technical product development and the company's future direction. A major focus will be on further developing the Aqua Nordic product.
You will navigate between different arenas – from the production floor and customer meetings to the boardroom and industry fairs. Your ability to build relationships, create trust, and think creatively is crucial for success.
The position involves travel, primarily within Europe, and offers the opportunity to work remotely 2 days a week.
Examples of Responsibilities:
- Drive product development and project manage initiatives for new technical solutions - particularly for the Aqua Nordic product.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues.
- Participate in fairs and external forums in Sweden and Europe to represent Nordic Brass Gusum.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to adapt strategies.
- Conduct training and internal meetings to ensure competence development.
- Contribute to the company's management team with insights and suggestions for improvements.
To Succeed in the Role, You Have:
- An engineering degree, preferably in materials technology or other related fields.
- Experience from the process industry.
- A background in the metal industry, such as aluminum or steel, is advantageous, but experience from related sectors like HVAC or the manufacturing industry is also relevant.
- The ability to lead and participate in product development projects and handle complaints and improvement work.
- An understanding of customer needs, preferably from both manufacturer and customer perspectives.
- The ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into strategic initiatives.
- Strong skills in presenting, reporting, and conducting training and internal meetings.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
A technical interest and knowledge of cutting processes and production technology are advantageous to meet customer demands for innovative solutions.
