The Department of Close Care and Health is under construction and will be operational from January 1, 2025. The department is responsible for grant-funded healthcare activities within Close Care. This includes mobile teams and specialized palliative care, outpatient services within close care, emergency care within close care, 1177 by phone, and certain regional functions. Additionally, the department is responsible for the development and follow-up of the transition to close care in Region Skåne. The number of employees is expected to be around 1,000.

Emergency Care Close Care within Close Care and Health consists of emergency departments that are not open 24/7 and evening and weekend clinics within Region Skåne. The western area within the Operational Area (VO) Emergency Care Close Care includes the Evening and Weekend Clinics in Helsingborg and Ängelholm, the weekend clinic in Landskrona, and the emergency departments in Ängelholm and Landskrona.

The mission of the evening and weekend clinics is to meet citizens' needs for urgent, unplanned primary care in the evenings and on weekends. The mission of the emergency department is to care for a wide spectrum of patients with an acute need for care, from the most severely ill complex patients to simple conditions within emergency medicine.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a licensed physician (specialist or advanced ST physician in the relevant specialty) who is interested in a stimulating and varied job where the role of medical management responsible physician is included, corresponding to half-time of the working hours. The remaining time can preferably be clinical work within your own specialty.

In addition to the role of medical management responsible physician, the position includes regular tasks for a physician within their own specialty, with the opportunity for additional responsibilities based on your interests. Since educational physicians are of great value in our operations, we wish that you have an interest in mentoring educational physicians and participating in recruitments and introductions. We invest in continuing education and professional development and are flexible in allowing you to influence and shape your job content.

You will be part of a management function in the western operational area and will assist the operational manager in leading, managing, and developing the operations with an emphasis on medical quality, prioritization issues, and action proposals. You will also participate in medical advisory meetings and relay information from there to the physician group and unit. At the same time, you will assist the operational manager in developing and maintaining a good patient safety culture and the local management system for patient safety and quality in care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

As a person, you have a professional demeanor and work solution-focused. We see that you have good communicative and empathetic abilities as a good approach towards patients and colleagues is important to us.
