As a Security Expert, you will actively support security-related projects for the technical community, governments, and industry partners to help ensure a stable and secure Internet for the Nordics and beyond.

You provide support to all departments of Netnod to improve Netnod's services, products, and business.

You are a structured team player who can work independently as well as in projects. You possess a good ability to identify, break down, and solve problems. You will belong to a team of security experts, and your work will be very varied.

We believe that you are currently working within the Internet or technology industry and are familiar with the Internet and other telecommunication services.

The Security Expert will report directly to Netnod’s CIO.

Netnod participates in a number of security-related projects, and you might be assigned one or more of these.

Key responsibilities

• Actively participate in, and for selected parts be responsible for, Netnod's participation and assignments in/with various security-related projects
• As part of the projects, and in collaboration with the Product Owner, produce and maintain risk and vulnerability analysis for projects and their connection to Netnod's own operations
• Based on risk and vulnerability analyses, support work with the implementation of capacity-building measures through, for example, the creation of documentation, as well as supporting procurement, implementation, and development for projects
• Follow the development of laws and other regulations that affect or may affect primarily your assigned projects, but also secondarily Netnod and our customers; and write proposals for talking points, referral responses, and other input related to these developments
• Support and assist the technical departments and otherwise be well versed in the current status of Netnod's operations
• Support Netnod in the development of processes, routines, and documentation
• Support the Security Department with processes and analyses regarding projects related to the certification of Netnod according to ISO27000

Qualifications

• Academic degree in computer science or equivalent
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Excellent ability to produce high-quality documentation, referrals, and similar documents (both formal and informal)
• Ability to see connections between an event, risk, measure, and effect, i.e., to be able to evaluate and explain why measures should be taken or not
• Experience working in a technical organization, ideally in the Internet or technology industry
• Excellent language skills in both English and Swedish (Internal company language is Swedish)
• Ability to travel internationally
• Technical experience within one or more of the following areas:
• Unix/Linux environment
• Installation and operation of IT systems
• Software engineering, API development
• DNS/NTP/Networking
• Microservices, Virtualization, and orchestration
• Cloud services, cloud-native technologies
• IDP concepts and other authentication mechanisms

Note: This role is covered by the Swedish Legislation on Protective Security Act and is subject to security screening and background checks. For this reason, Swedish citizenship is required for the role.

Location

This role is hybrid and located out of our office in Solna, Stockholm. The role reports directly to Netnod’s CIO.
