The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, with its main location in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center. The unit's operations rest on four pillars – development, education, workshop, and war unit production. For the Armed Forces' units to operate, they need functioning equipment, and FMTS plays an important role in this.
FMTS has a functional responsibility for the technical service within the Armed Forces, which includes following technological developments to anticipate future needs and also propose changes and improvements.
There are exciting development opportunities for those who are technically interested, both at a basic and very advanced level. FMTS trains officers, specialist officers, and civilian employees in technical services across all branches of defense. In addition, soldiers are trained in logistics.
FMTS operates throughout Sweden, from Revingehed in the south to Boden in the north. Every day and every hour, our employees make contributions that affect other people's lives, both in large and small ways, both at home and around the world.
The Armed Forces have a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good conditions for internal career mobility, wellness, and a good balance between work and private life.
