Green Strategist to the Community Building Office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a green strategist for the Community Building Office. Here you will be part of a workgroup with broad competence and good cohesion. As a green strategist, you will drive strategic and overview planning with a focus on green and blue issues. You will also be an important support in planning and project work regarding green structure issues, compensation measures, ecosystem services, protected species, shoreline protection, and water management issues. You will coordinate assessments according to the Environmental Code and support the procurement of nature value inventories.

In the role of green strategist, you will work together with competencies across the entire Community Building Office, as well as with other administrations and external parties, and in regional environmental strategic networks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree focused on green strategic issues such as ecologist, landscape architect, biologist, or equivalent. You should have several years of experience working with community building and sustainability issues, both strategic and operational, as well as good knowledge of the Environmental Code and its application. Based on the assignment, we see that you should have good knowledge of overarching green structure issues, water management, nature reserve formation, and experience working with green-blue issues in planning processes. Good knowledge of GIS and previous experience working in a political organization is an advantage.

Collaboration skills with colleagues and the ability to meet the public, businesses, and other stakeholders professionally are central. In the role, it is important to have an open and pedagogical dialogue with parties who do not necessarily have the same background knowledge. You are a responsible and driven person who is structured and accustomed to delivering. You also have a good ability to see holistic solutions from a sustainability perspective.
