Your tasks

Welcome to Vretaliden's nursing home, where we focus on creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our residents. We are now looking for a nursing assistant who wants to contribute with their skills and commitment!

As a nursing assistant, you will be responsible for the care of our residents, which includes personal hygiene, assistance with dressing and undressing, and medication management. You will accompany our residents on walks and medical visits, assist with shopping and activities, and ensure that they have an active and meaningful existence. You will actively participate in the work with IBIC (Individual Needs in Center) and apply a salutogenic approach, which means that you focus on supporting our residents' own resources. Soon we will also implement BEATA, an individualized work method that includes digital supervision and digital alarms, which increases the integrity of the residents and reduces the need for physical supervision. You will play an important role in this development.

Your role also includes being a contact person for a number of residents. This means that you are responsible for planning and documenting their individual care plans and maintaining contact with relatives and other care agencies. Documentation is done in the digital journal system Treserva.

Your workplace

Vretaliden's nursing home is centrally located in the scenic district of Ljungsbro and offers 19 places for residents, of which 9 are for dementia care. Our facility also houses a sheltered accommodation with associated apartments. Your primary placement is in the dementia department, but you are expected to work as needed in the somatic department and in operations within the cluster.

With us, you have the opportunity to develop within dementia care and in an advocacy role where you are expected to contribute knowledge and interest in an area we will agree upon together. We use modern digital tools as an integrated part of the work and offer further education to strengthen your competencies in this area. The work is scheduled at irregular times, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Here, a varied range of activities is offered based on the interests and needs of the residents, and we hope you will contribute to creating a stimulating and engaging atmosphere. We organize activities such as chair gymnastics, movie nights, and walks, and our staff actively work to adapt the activities to the residents' abilities and interests. Our ambition is to create a homely environment where every individual feels seen and heard.

You who are applying

We are looking for someone who has a recognized Swedish nursing assistant education with a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Experience in elderly care is a requirement, as we work to provide individualized support and care to the elderly with varying needs. It is advantageous if you have experience working with people with dementia diseases, as well as experience using IBIC (Individual Needs in Center) as a tool for documentation and planning. If you have previously worked with a salutogenic approach, where the focus is on the individual's strengths and resources, we see it as an advantage.

To perform the tasks, you need to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as clear communication with colleagues, residents, and their relatives is central.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who relates to others in a responsive manner. You take responsibility for your tasks and work independently with a clear structure. Empathy is central to the role, as you need to be able to understand the residents' situations without taking over their feelings. Furthermore, you have the ability to communicate clearly and ensure that expectations and information reach their destination. Flexibility is also important as the work involves quickly adapting to the residents' changing needs and circumstances.
