We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a valid B driver's license for 3 years, approved fitness tests, and a passed driving test. Specialist education in anesthesia, ICU, emergency, or ambulance is an advantage. Experience with Mobimed, knowledge of meänkieli, Finnish, and/or experience in prehospital work or other emergency services is also meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. You are independent, communicative, have empathetic and problem-solving skills. You value and see the benefit of collaborating with others. You are secure, stable, and have self-awareness.

What you will work with

In ambulance care, you will work with a unique community function consisting of working around the clock with prehospital emergency care where staff meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury in the patient's home, in outdoor environments, or at an accident or injury site. Together with an ambulance caregiver or another nurse, you are the ambulance crew that is often first on the scene, and your skills will be put to use. As a paramedic, you will make the first important assessment, provide the most urgent care, hold medical responsibility, and decide on nursing and medical measures based on care needs and refer to the appropriate level of care. You will encounter different situations and challenges where your intervention can be crucial for the patient and make a difference for others. In the crew, you will work closely with each other and other professionals.

Information about the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position. Working hours are scheduled during the day with on-call duty at night. Start date according to agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
