Sundsvall Municipality has approximately 8000 employees and is significant for our society. We are Sundsvall's largest employer with several workplaces in various sectors and around 300 different professions.

We are now looking for two dedicated chefs who want to contribute to providing our citizens with healthy, sustainable, and delicious meals.

Sundsvall's food and meals represent public gastronomy in Sundsvall Municipality. Our mission is to prepare and serve good, sustainable, and healthy meals so that the municipality's diners can achieve their goals. Since 2022, the municipality has a consolidated meal operation consisting of about 280 employees spread across approximately 80 workplaces.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a chef with us is a varied job that includes all tasks occurring in a kitchen. We apply job rotation and are looking for someone who enjoys working both independently and in a team. As a chef, you are also expected to take a leadership role in the kitchen during the absence of the head chef, for example, during the summer vacation.

The kitchen is a central place in the residence, which means that collaboration and cooperation with diners and other operations are an important part of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained chef with good cooking skills and several years of experience in the profession. It is an advantage if you have experience with similar tasks and experience in preparing various types of special diets. The position includes some administrative tasks, so we expect you to have good computer skills and preferably experience working with dietary data systems.

To succeed in this role, your personal qualities are important, and we will place great emphasis on them during the recruitment process. You undoubtedly have a great passion for cooking. Since kitchen work can be stressful at times, it is important that you have good organizational skills and take significant personal responsibility. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, diners, and other staff.
