About the Job

At Logistics Service, we handle all logistics within Region Halland. Among other things, we are responsible for our own central warehouse, mail, external and internal transport throughout the region. The operation is complex and is an important activity where we constantly look for new opportunities to develop efficiency and quality.

Internal logistics service means that the staff is responsible for various forms of transport assignments at the hospital. The transporters work closely with the healthcare staff to make the patient flow as smooth as possible and contribute to high quality in the department. The staff's tasks mainly involve various forms of transport assignments using a towing vehicle and carts. The assignments require a lot of collaboration, both within the work group and with healthcare personnel. The work also involves contact with patients and relatives, where employees enhance the patient's experience of quality. The tasks also include moving furniture between departments and meeting rooms.

Picking & Warehouse means that we supply healthcare operations within the region with consumables that are stored in the region's central warehouse. This is located adjacent to the hospital in Halmstad. Here we perform order picking that is compiled and transported to our three hospitals in the region as well as health centers and affiliated healthcare facilities in Halland. There is also the region's staffed goods reception, which is also included in the tasks related to the staff pool.

Distribution is our transport part where we use our own vehicles to transport consumables to healthcare facilities in the region that are located outside hospital areas. Distribution also includes mail delivery within the region and collection of lab samples.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has at least a high school education. A B driver's license and forklift license are required. We prefer that you have worked in a similar organization with service work, logistics, warehousing, and freight transport. Experience with truck transport and a good ability to handle various computer systems is an advantage.

To thrive and succeed in this role, it is important that you are responsible and meticulous. You take responsibility for your work and understand that you are part of an important whole. In your work, you may have contact with patients, relatives, and healthcare staff, so it is important that you are social, outgoing, and have good communication skills. The role requires a high degree of service orientation, you have a good attitude and focus on the customer. Furthermore, we see that you are flexible and have a creative mindset and can easily adapt to new circumstances. Since heavy lifting is involved, the position requires good physical condition.

For safety reasons, you must be able to understand written instructions and communicate with colleagues and other partners, therefore very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is an advantage. Personal suitability is highly valued.
