Our Operations

The hospital's emergency department plays a central role in the operations with approximately 26,000 visits per year. The emergency department is available around the clock for urgent visits. We receive patients of all ages with various diagnoses, many of whom are children. The hospital's surgical operations have an elective profile, and in our operating rooms, we perform general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology. Together with our partner, Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala, our mission is to meet the region's need for surgery in these areas. Each year, over 5,000 operations are performed in our surgical department.

Your Mission

Common tasks for a licensed junior doctor. You will start working in the department and the emergency department. Over time, we will rotate you into the primary on-call line and have the opportunity to also begin your development in outpatient work and in the surgical department. On-call work occurs naturally around the clock, and on evenings and weekends, there is backup on-call at home. The work is independent but with guidance and support from a specialist or senior physician in surgery, orthopedics, or urology. Here, you will gain breadth while also having the opportunity to focus on one of these profile areas, providing a good start to your future career.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with an interest in surgical operations such as surgery, orthopedics, or urology. Experience working in an emergency department is considered an asset.

Your Skills

You have good judgment, strong collaboration skills, are accustomed to solving problems, and are responsible. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We Offer

We offer a fixed-term employment with the possibility of extension, full-time with supervision. Start date by agreement.

In addition to your workplace-specific introduction, you will also participate in our extensive introduction week for new employees, KULE - Clinical Education at the Hospital in Enköping, where we offer an interprofessional setup. Here, you will meet and collaborate with colleagues from various professional categories. For newly graduated nurses, we also offer enhanced introduction for an additional three months. This includes reflective professional supervision as well as shadowing and coaching from our clinical adjunct. You will also participate in practical training at our KTC (Clinical Training Center), a safe and supportive environment to practice and develop your skills.
