About the Workplace

Our area’s preschools, Rönnen, Rönnbäret, and Ellstorp, are located near the Värnhemstorget junction. This means we have good and close bus connections both within and outside Malmö. Rönnen and Rönnbäret share a large yard that we continuously use to engage with nature and the local environment in various ways, and Ellstorp is right next to the lush Ellstorpsparken.

We see the collegial work across the area as a success factor where we benefit from competencies in various ways to create a shared understanding and to ensure that we run an operation of equally good quality throughout our area.

We are now expanding with more preschool teachers, and what we need are those with high competence, a focus on the child’s best interests, and the ability to see each individual. In your profession, you need to have a strong focus on the mission and a high ability to transform this into providing conditions for each child to develop as far as possible.

In the area, we organize the children closely by age so that the pedagogical decisions, play, and meeting places, etc., are age-appropriate, developing, and challenging. In this way, we can follow the children’s development and ensure that everyone meets the curriculum goals during their time in preschool. Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You lead and develop the pedagogical activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. All preschool teachers in Malmö city have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher degree and supervisor training for preschool teachers 7.5 credits. We consider it an advantage if you have Supervisor Training II - Colleague and Student Supervision in School Activities, 7.5 credits, advanced level. Other advanced training/education/experience in pedagogy is also meritorious.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled preschool teacher with good knowledge of the preschool's mission and governing documents. You have several years of experience working in preschool and a good understanding of children's development and learning. You base your work on current research, which allows you to continuously develop and improve the pedagogical practice.

You are a proactive and engaged preschool teacher who identifies areas for development and actively works to improve and develop the operation. Through an analytical approach, you implement new working methods while proactively creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.

You have a holistic view of the preschool's operations and understand how your work contributes to both the individual preschool, the preschool area, and the organization as a whole. You also see the importance of collaboration between different actors within the preschool.

You are flexible and have a good ability to adapt your teaching and working methods based on both the individual child's and the group of children's needs and circumstances. You take initiative and can quickly adjust and find solutions to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all children are given the opportunity to develop and learn in the best way.

You meet each child with respect and attentiveness and work towards good relationships with guardians and colleagues.

To be permanently employed as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher license is required, according to the Education Act. If you have a preschool teacher degree but lack a license, you will be employed on a fixed-term contract.
