JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a traffic controller, your task is to ensure that traffic flows smoothly. Drivers, clients, and other functions contact traffic management to resolve emerging issues, and it is your responsibility to quickly find solutions. You maintain a good and businesslike dialogue with both drivers and traffic authorities as well as clients. The role of a traffic controller requires quick decision-making as well as ongoing planning work to best address the problems that arise. Furthermore, you are expected to report daily to your immediate supervisor and document and manage deviations continuously.

Working hours include a three-shift schedule as the department is staffed around the clock.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have education in logistics or transport, knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as good administrative skills. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. If you have experience in similar work, we consider it an advantage.

The role of a traffic controller largely involves solving problems that arise among our modes of transport, so it is important that you are creative, solution-oriented, and analytical. You enjoy working against deadlines, can quickly switch to other tasks, and then resume those you had planned for. This means you have a good ability to structure and prioritize your tasks. Since the job involves contact with both external and internal parties, it is important that you have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
