Kvisslingbyvägen group home in Åkersberga started in August 2019. The group home is located in a quiet, leafy area close to nature. Residents include individuals with disabilities such as autism and developmental disorders. There is a strong team spirit and a lot of positivity in the organization. As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will assist the residents in their daily routines and activities based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a rehabilitative and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for residents to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

• Very good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• Good computer skills, experience in documentation.
• Experience in care and support work.
• Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
• High school education such as child and leisure program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

Preferred if you also have

• Experience working with target group 1 under LSS
• B driver's license
• Experience working with complex support needs.
• Flexibility and a genuine interest in cooking.
• Drive and ability to work solution-oriented.
• Ability to see needs and create meaningful activities both in everyday life and during leisure time.
• Engagement in making everyday life stimulating and rewarding for the residents.

Employment conditions

Employment type: Permanent employment, with a 6-month probationary period. Work percentage: Full-time & on-call staff as needed. Working hours: Rotating schedule, day, evening, and weekend. Start date: By agreement, we look positively on if you can start soon. Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
