At the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) Supply Unit, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting tasks to help make Sweden and the world safer. You will work at FMLOG Supply, which procures, stores, maintains, and phases out supplies for the Armed Forces at all levels of readiness. Logistics must be efficient and ensure high availability of all types of supplies throughout Sweden, which means that production, planning, and customer support are also important parts of our work.
About the Unit
The Supply Unit contributes to effective defense logistics by carrying out procurement and storage so that supplies and spare parts are available when and where the Armed Forces need them. Production of graphic material is also within the unit.
The security function is part of Command Support, responsible for maintaining the unit's operations in dialogue with the FMLOG Staff within the framework of the Armed Forces' two main processes, planning and execution. Support functions related to these processes, such as HR, finance, and security service, are coordinated at the unit's staff through functional management, developing common methods, routines, and structures.
Main Responsibilities
The security function's task is to coordinate and support the Supply Unit's management and departments with expertise in security protection and military security service. The work is characterized by foresight, support to managers and employees, and follow-up within the framework of applicable laws and regulations.
You will work proactively and actively with the unit's security protection. The position includes tasks related to security protection analyses, security planning, as well as follow-up and reporting. A large part of the work consists of creating structure and documentation; furthermore, advising and training within the unit's various activities is an important part of the job. In addition to collaborating within your own unit, you will also collaborate with other units within the Armed Forces, as well as other actors and authorities on security protection issues.
- Investigations of incoming security reports
- Reporting of protected and security-threatening activities
- Local threat assessments
- Response plans, actions in case of alarms
- Security protection analyses
- Internal control
- Security clearance
- Establishing routines, routine descriptions, revising regulations
Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary education with approved final grades
- Training in security service or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- Good ability and habit of expressing oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Good computer skills
- Driver's license (at least class B for manual transmission)
Meritorious
- Training/experience in military security service and/or security protection
- Knowledge and experience of working in an authority subject to the Security Protection Act
- Experience in the Armed Forces sector
- Experience in documenting, e.g., routines, reports, and follow-ups
- Knowledge of the Armed Forces' IT systems within the intelligence and security function, such as IS U/S
- Knowledge of control operations
Personal Qualities
To succeed in this role, you need to have pedagogical and social competence, as well as the ability to work independently, critically, and proactively. You can quickly adapt to new complex tasks, have a high awareness of security and confidentiality, problem-solving skills, and are service-oriented with a good ability to support others. You need to have good analytical skills and be able to articulate assessments both in writing and verbally with suggestions. You need to have a good sense of order to create a methodical approach, as well as structure and accuracy to work proactively with security protection. The work requires good collaboration skills, strong social competence, and the ability to build good relationships. Furthermore, good communication skills with colleagues, the organization, and partners are required.

- The work involves a lot of travel within the country; sometimes situations arise that require short notice.
- The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period.
