We who work here are a cheerful group with broad expertise who always support each other. We are looking for an engaged, positive, and driven colleague with an interest in surgical care.
If you are a nurse who focuses on the patient, wants to learn a lot, and at the same time develop your own skills, the Surgery department is the right place for you. Here you will have a varied and developing job where you work closely with the patient alongside other professions. We have continuous competence development in the department for all staff and encourage and support your personal development.
Ward 7 is a general surgical ward with 18 beds, and we work in interdisciplinary teams around the patient. We care for patients of varying ages with different surgical diagnoses, have some planned care but mainly treat acutely admitted patients. In contrast to the acute, we also work with palliative care in close collaboration with the Palliative consulting team in Karlskoga.
The surgical area is a regional operation, which means close cooperation between the three hospitals in the region. The area has a regional mission for acute and planned surgical interventions, and we also provide some highly specialized care for out-of-region patients. There are 350 employees in various units such as outpatient clinics, wards, surgery, and secretariats. Planned healthcare is increasingly located in Karlskoga and Lindesberg, and similarly, tumor and trauma activities are located in Örebro. Within the area, there is active development work with a focus on the patient throughout the care process.
Karlskoga Hospital is one of Region Örebro County's three acute hospitals. We who work at Karlskoga Hospital are proud of our hospital. We build our work on collaboration, development, and professionalism, which is reflected in the fact that we were the first hospital in Sweden to receive the Swedish Quality Award. The hospital is medium-sized with about 900 employees.
Region Örebro County is one of the region's largest employers and an important growth engine in the area. We work for people's health, safety, and well-being and for the region's development. With us, there are exciting and important jobs in areas such as healthcare, dental care, public transport, culture, and business development. Together we create a better life.
