Welcome to Mariehällsskolan

Mariehällsskolan opened in 2014 in the newly built area of Annedal in Bromma.

The school currently has three parallel classes with approximately 530 students in grades F-6. At Mariehällsskolan, we have dedicated and driven staff with a genuine focus on student learning. We are now looking for you who want to be involved in continuing to develop our wonderful school together with your colleagues.

Your Role

Your tasks as a special educator are to, together with the school's student health team, teachers, and other school staff, contribute to providing our students with a high-quality education and a high level of goal achievement.

You will propose and work with measures and interventions for students in need of extra adaptations and special support, and be responsible for investigations of special support, action plans, as well as follow-up and evaluation of these. Support measures will be provided individually, in groups, or as support in regular teaching situations. Your primary work will be focused on grades 1-3, but individual students in grades 4-6 who have difficulties in mathematics may also be relevant.

You will have a consulting and guiding role towards colleagues, other members of the student health team, and school management. You will also be responsible for maintaining our annual cycle regarding mapping/screening and leading follow-up and planning based on that.

You will be an important part of the student health team at the school and participate in the preventive and health-promoting work to contribute to a good learning environment for our students. You will develop, in close collaboration with teachers and educators, the work in the classroom regarding adaptations and special support.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has a special educator degree with a focus on mathematics
• has a teaching license in mathematics and Swedish for grades 1-6
• has experience working with grades F-6
• has good knowledge of accessible learning environments and mathematics didactics for younger ages
• preferably has experience working with intensive teaching in mathematics

• are flexible, work solution-focused, and have a positive attitude towards work
• have good organizational skills, are proactive, responsible, and can structure your work
• can express yourself professionally and nuanced in Swedish in both speech and writing
• are well-grounded in the school's governing documents, enjoy keeping updated on current research, and have good digital competence
• have experience mentoring colleagues
• are systematic in working towards goals and results
