Head of Project Management in District Heating
E.ON is an international privately-owned energy company. Our 40,000 employees across 13 countries work daily to develop technical innovations and user-friendly customer solutions for the new energy world. We are the first major energy company to truly focus on future energy solutions through our three business areas of smart grids, renewable energy, and customer solutions.
Welcome to E.ON – where we drive real change for climate transition. We take responsibility for a better future through stable and fossil-free energy solutions for people, cities, and industries. We are innovative and brave, while also being empathetic and reliable. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, then E.ON is the place for you.
About the position:
We are looking for a Head of Project Management in district heating, who has the ability to lead our project managers and develop our project methodology towards the highest quality and efficiency. In this role, you will ensure that projects are carried out safely and securely, according to assignments, project processes, and industry standards. One of your key responsibilities will be to drive the competence development of our project managers while ensuring that the right internal and external resources are available to drive the projects forward.
The Project Management Office leads all major investment projects within E.ON's district heating operations, for distribution networks and production facilities. The projects are carried out in Malmö, Norrköping, Örebro, and northern Stockholm, aiming for environmentally friendly, reliable, and competitive district heating.
The role includes personnel responsibility for 8-10 E.ON-employed project managers, whom you will coach and support to create a developing work environment and ensure that we together achieve set goals. The work involves continuously evaluating working methods and collaborations with consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure sustainable and efficient project execution. You will also collaborate with project clients across the entire district heating operation to improve and develop common working methods and results.
We are looking for:
We believe you have a solid background from large industrial projects and have experience in leading and developing project managers in their work. You have a good understanding of contracting and agreement forms, as well as a broad supplier network.
Your communication skills are very good, and you find it easy to convey changes and visions, both internally and externally, making people feel involved and engaged in what is being done.
You are a responsive and empathetic leader who sees the potential in each individual and creates conditions for everyone to grow and reach their goals. You thrive in a dynamic and development-oriented environment and are used to taking overall responsibility and making well-founded decisions. It is important to us that you share our focus on long-term, sustainable solutions and a respectful and inclusive way of working.
Your immediate manager, Catja, is part of the management team for E.ON's district heating operations. She is a present and accessible leader, valuing leadership that promotes open dialogue and gives employees the freedom to work independently and take responsibility.
We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure you feel good and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include a working time reduction that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
As we work with socially important activities, the employment is security classified, which means that a security review will be conducted before employment.
Warm welcome to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is April 11.
