Your everyday life – strengthening Sweden's total defense

The mission of the Fortifications Agency is to own and manage properties primarily used by the Armed Forces in their operations. The Northern Region manages the Fortifications Agency's property portfolio in Sweden's four northernmost counties: Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, and Västernorrland. Within the region, over 115 people currently work across management, operations, and support functions. The Operations District Boden Yttre Norr operates throughout Norrbotten County and consists of five property technicians, nine operations technicians, and one operations manager. The property portfolio is varied, including everything from workshops, restaurants, water production facilities, and backup power to simpler accommodation barracks and training devices for the Armed Forces' purposes.

The role involves supervision and maintenance as well as troubleshooting and repair of property technical systems and various types of outdoor environments. It also involves leading smaller projects and being an active participant in larger projects and orders with contractors. The work involves regular contact with both the customer, primarily the Armed Forces, and contractors. Work distribution occurs across parts of the district, and travel may be required. On-call duty may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school education, preferably with a technical focus. You have experience working with operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical systems and/or properties. You have good administrative skills, good computer skills as a user of support systems, and good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A Class B driving license is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have education in electrical engineering, ventilation, plumbing, SRÖ, or automation. We prefer that you have work experience in service and fault reporting as well as troubleshooting and experience in preventive work with supervision, maintenance, and care. If you have experience working with backup power and/or have a boiler operator certificate, it is to your advantage.
