JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an operations technician at the heat plant, you will deliver district heating to the company's customers. We also deliver waste heat from LKAB. You will work together with a colleague as shifts are double-staffed. The job includes optimizing our production facilities, starting and stopping boilers, turbines, and other auxiliary systems, as well as supervision such as rounds, corrective and preventive maintenance. The work involves continuous shift work known as five-shift. During the summer period, staff switch to day shifts with various operations-related tasks. You will also undergo a professional validation that leads to obtaining a vocational certificate as an operations technician.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys collaboration and has good communication skills. You should be a problem solver and able to tackle the tasks that arise, which means you should be able to work independently and take your own initiative. Since we work based on a value foundation, we also see that you enjoy taking responsibility, are efficient, and possess a strong commitment and understanding of the environment, technology, and economics.

It is advantageous if you are a certified boiler operator according to AFS 2017:3 - use and control of pressure equipment.
