Business Description

We are looking for a new employee for Malmbacken to replace staff who are leaving. Malmbacken is located in Gällivare in a beautiful environment. The staff at Malmbacken work together with the residents to create a functioning everyday life where the residents can live as independently as possible based on their individual circumstances. The staff work according to ESL pedagogy (An Independent Life), a program for training social skills where the goal is to teach individuals to cope with the difficulties and disabilities caused by their condition. Through ESL pedagogy's structured approach to addressing everyday difficulties, solving problems, and training skills, the daily life of the individuals is facilitated and developed.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant within Social Support, you should be able to provide individually tailored support. You will guide and support the individual in their daily life and work systematically based on individual needs. You should be able to work independently and in collaboration with others and have a professional working method and approach. You also have a role as a contact person, which includes working together with the individual, other professionals, and representatives to establish and work according to the individual's implementation plan. In the organization, we use a database-based documentation program. The work also includes guiding/supporting/participating in and planning various activities. Providing support to the individual in managing their own home and daily chores is also part of the assignment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a three-year nursing program, nursing assistant education, caregiver training, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Knowledge/experience of mental disabilities and training in ESL is an advantage. As a person, you should be confident and secure in your role and have the ability to act in a professional and calm manner while maintaining structure. The organization involves physical activities outside the residence, so you must have an interest in planning and carrying out activities.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

2-shift, day and evening with weekend work.
