Social Worker for the VINR/HRV Investigation Group

The Social Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equal and effective welfare, enabling them to live safe and independent lives. The administration supports individuals and families according to the Social Services Act. We also offer activities and meeting places that can provide children and young people with a meaningful leisure time. Additionally, the administration actively works with crisis support, safety issues, community life, public health, and contacts with residents and civil society.

Welcome to a vibrant administration in a dynamic urban area - here we work for community and openness with a focus on those we are here for!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a team member to join our group and welcome you to apply for the VINR/HRV investigation group (Violence in Close Relationships and Honor-related Violence). The position is a parental leave cover for one year.

As a social worker with us, you will have the responsibilities that fall under the authority's exercise, namely receiving, investigating, and assessing applications for protection needs, as well as making decisions, implementing, and following up on interventions according to assignments, work plans, and implementation plans. We use evidence-based methods as support in our assessments, such as FREDA and PATRIARK.

The work also involves informing, motivating, and empowering individuals to take their own initiatives towards a more independent life. We work to clarify the processes in the investigation work to identify and improve areas and to follow up on how individuals experience our interventions. A crucial part of the work is collaboration with various authority units and providers. We have a particularly close collaboration with Children and Youth. The handling is done according to the Social Services Act and other legislation governing public work. We apply national regulations, guidelines, routines, and the city's common goals and action plans. Process supervision is included.

The group consists of seven social workers and one team leader, all with extensive experience and knowledge in the field. The workplace is characterized by a good collaborative climate and helpfulness towards each other. The VINR/HRV group is one of three working groups within the Adult 2 unit, and we also work with social housing and eviction prevention. The unit also has an active and creative well-being group. The turnover rate in the unit is very low, so if you want to work with VINR/HRV in one of the city's most stable and competent teams, you should take the opportunity to apply now.

The office is located at Hjällbo Lillgata 1, where Adult 1, Financial Support, and Children and Youth also have their premises. All caseworkers have their own large rooms.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You are familiar with the legislation and guidelines that govern the operations. You understand the importance of a legally secure handling and what it means in practice. You have experience in authority exercise from social services, and it is an advantage if you have worked in authority exercise directed at individuals with protection needs. Knowledge and application of assessment methods such as FREDA and PATRIARK are also advantageous. It is also beneficial if you have worked in the documentation system Treserva and have a driver's license.

As a person, you have a very good ability to collaborate and work together with others, as it is significant for individuals to receive the right support for the right interventions at the right time. You are flexible in your thinking and actions and can easily adapt your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. You take responsibility for both your own and the unit's collective work and are keen to ensure that the work is completed and performed correctly.

Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. We welcome your application!
