Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts of Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, youth, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who, with strength-based working methods, provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Senior Social Worker for our Investigation Unit for Children and Youth 3.

The Investigation Unit for Children and Youth 3 works on investigating incoming reports and applications as well as following up on granted interventions concerning children aged 0-18 years. The main task as a Senior Social Worker is to guide and mentor the unit's social workers in their daily work with case management, and you may also have your own cases. You will also be part of our small management team in the unit. The position has an extended delegation responsibility for case decisions.

Your work will also include:

• Ensuring that the social workers' work maintains good quality and is based on existing guidelines
• Ensuring that the interaction with clients is good and that granted interventions are cost-effective
• Collaborating with other Senior Social Workers and team leaders to develop the services together
• Introducing new social workers
• Planning and executing method support
• Participating as support in difficult meetings
• Supporting social workers in prioritizing during high workloads

We Offer You

The units consist of 20 social workers, an administrator, and a case support worker. With you, there will be three Senior Social Workers and a unit manager. There are three groups in the unit where each Senior is responsible for their group. The group is very well-functioning, competent, and has extensive experience in investigating children and youth.

Who You Are

You have a degree in social work and at least 5 years of work experience with authority exercise for children and youth. We also see that you have a driver's license.

Other requirements for the position are:

• Training in and experience with BBIC
• Training in MI and Signs of Safety
• You have good knowledge of relevant legislation

We consider it an advantage if you have previous work experience as a Senior Social Worker or team leader and experience working in various systems, such as Procapita and Lifecare.

You are creative and can find solutions outside the box while not hesitating to take in suggestions from caseworkers. You are expected to be confident and courageous in your role as an authority exerciser and decision-maker and be positive about development and collaboration. You are clear in your communication and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
