Job Description
We are looking for a sales and results-oriented Business Area Manager who wants to help develop both our team and our brand. Here you will have a central role in driving strategic initiatives, developing banking and life insurance business, and strengthening our market position. As the Business Area Manager for Banking & Life, you are responsible for leading and developing your managers and employees towards set goals and ensuring their success. The business area consists of 55 employees, including five directly reporting managers. You have overall responsibility for the business area's growth, results, and operational work, while also being an important part of the company's management team. With us, you have the opportunity to combine a strategic holistic perspective with operational efforts.
The role, which requires a good overview and strategic ability, involves proactively exercising wise and present leadership, creating good conditions for employees, and coaching them to prioritize correctly. You lead through your group managers and support them in developing their teams, which are spread across six offices in the region. The role also includes reviewing and developing structures, processes, and strategies to ensure that the banking and life insurance business operates in line with LF Kalmar's business plan.
The banking operations are governed by a clear regulatory framework, which creates an exciting challenge in balancing requirements and processes between banking and insurance. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations regarding AML, FPC, anti-money laundering, and fraud issues, while also driving long-term work to secure the future competence supply of the business.
You are expected to handle internal challenges, strengthen collaboration between banking, insurance, and claims, and refine a culture where we work towards common goals. Through your strategic and proactive leadership, you contribute to a sustainable and successful development of the organization.
The position is based in Kalmar, and you report to the CEO.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with experience in leading a complex service operation where you have also been part of the management team. A pragmatic approach and willingness to work in change are good prerequisites for succeeding in your assignment. You have a relevant academic education and good insight and experience in the financial field.
The person we are looking for is accustomed to working both strategically and operationally and comes with confidence in all relevant processes. You are results-oriented and driven by working in a business-oriented manner, while it is important for you to work closely with your team with inclusive and inspiring leadership.
You have strong communication skills that you use to both explain and clarify strategic direction, but also as a tool to build relationships, networks, and collaboration in everyday life. You lead by listening, asking questions, and anchoring while diplomatically daring to challenge existing frameworks and approaches.
As our next colleague, you have extensive experience in leading and developing both managers and teams, with a particular focus on successfully driving change processes. You have a good understanding of the regulations and challenges within both banking and insurance operations and can navigate in this complex environment. You enjoy working cross-functionally and have the ability to create collaboration between different business areas.
Your Swedish language skills are good, both spoken and written.
A driving license (B) is a requirement for the position.
