The technical organization is a function within Contura AB where we have gathered all manufacturing-related technology. The department has many skilled and experienced employees who work to streamline and develop production as well as ensure the availability of our machinery. We are now strengthening this organization with a Maintenance Manager based in Markaryd.

About the role
As a Maintenance Manager at Contura AB, you will ensure the long-term availability of the machinery by systematically working on the development of maintenance with a focus on OEE values, maintenance frequencies, spare parts management, total maintenance costs, personnel safety, and competence development. As the maintenance manager, you will receive new equipment installed in production and thus set requirements for projects regarding maintenance issues. You will also collaborate with external suppliers for equipment and maintenance services and be responsible for maintenance agreements with them.

You will lead an organization of about 10 employees who report directly to you. An important part of the role is to develop the staff and ensure their competence and safety. The maintenance operations are conducted in two shifts with varying staffing for the different shifts. The role includes personnel and work environment responsibility for the maintenance department.

The position is located in Markaryd, which is our central location for collaboration within the team where you play an important role; therefore, remote work is not possible in this role.

Does this sound like you?
We are looking for someone with relevant education in technology, maintenance, or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in maintenance management within the manufacturing industry.

To succeed in this role, you should have good knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, and systems, such as TPM. Experience working as a maintenance technician in electrical, automation, or mechanics is an advantage, as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, sheet metal processing, assembly, and automation. It is important that you have a good understanding of safety and work environment requirements for maintenance.

You are a person with natural integrity who is confident in making decisions and standing by them. You possess good leadership skills and the ability to motivate and coach staff. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
