Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, committed, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with a boy in his early teenage years living in Skepplanda
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• has experience in similar work
• has experience with tube feeding
• has experience with alternative communication methods
• is a competent swimmer
• is smoke-free during working hours
• is interested in a 100% position with varied working hours (day, evening, and night)

It is also an advantage if you:

• have experience with epilepsy
• share the client's interests such as swimming and being outdoors regardless of the weather

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position is approximately 100%. The job involves work during daytime, evening, and nighttime. All time during the night is active time and it is simple assistance, which means you will work independently. The position is scheduled on a rolling basis, and you will work all shifts over the course of a month on both weekdays and weekends. The working hours are as follows:

Day: 06:45-17:15 Evening: 17:15-22:00 Night: 22:00-06:45 (active, awake night)

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations will be in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

2025-05-01 or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present a valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you will need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
