Totalförsvarets skyddscentrum (SkyddC) is looking for an engaged and responsible local purchaser who wants to contribute to Sweden's national security. If you want to use your purchasing skills at the Swedish Armed Forces, you will have a key role where your work makes a difference every day.

Logistics Unit's Staff Department (LogE Staff)

Now you have the chance to work and develop in a varied environment at the Logistics Unit. LogE supports the organizational units of Umeå garrison (OrgE) with their logistics support needs, where supply provision and material maintenance are the major components.

Main Responsibilities

The focus for the local purchaser is planning and preparation of documentation through collaboration with the aim of increasing the readiness of combat units via agreements. The work involves coordination and development of supply reporting through information and training. As a local purchaser, you will have your own local functional responsibility to ensure an effective supply chain in peace, crisis, and war.

In your work, you will also:

• Conduct direct procurement and make purchases according to LOU within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Participate in the preparations and planning of purchases and procurements for exercises and ensure that contract and purchasing information is disseminated within the garrison.
• Act as a control function regarding material flows in our accounting systems.
• Support and follow up on inventory management of supplies.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with a focus on economics, law, logistics, or another area deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Driver's license class B manual transmission.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone with a strong sense of service and ease in making contact with people. You are a good team player who also likes to take initiative and feels a strong sense of personal responsibility. You are not averse to working independently and are loyal, flexible, meticulous, and orderly as a person. You should have a high ability to handle varying tasks, sometimes under time pressure.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

• Military basic training with a passing result.
• Experience with the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems SAP/PRIO and LIFT regarding material and supply processes.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in purchasing and procurement.
• Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' material systems and supplies.
• Good physical ability.

Other

Employment form: Civil, permanent. Starts with a probationary period of 6 months.

Working hours: Full-time. Primarily scheduled during weekdays, but scheduled work during other times may occur.

Work location: Umeå (travel may occur).

Start date: By agreement.

Salary: Individual salary setting applies.

Totalförsvarets skyddscentrum, SkyddC, in Umeå is the Swedish Armed Forces' knowledge center for protection against radiation, infection, and toxins, so-called CBRN events. The unit not only develops the Armed Forces' units in the area but also ensures the capability of the Armed Forces' other parts. SkyddC therefore works with both training and development issues and is responsible for maintaining national and international readiness in the area.
