The Investigation and Protection Unit is one of three units within the Children and Family Services. The unit consists of a reception group, two investigation teams, a domestic violence team, and a safety team. Our teams are led by senior social workers, and the unit also has two operational unit managers who contribute to creating a structured and close leadership.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an investigative social worker, you work to ensure that children and their families receive the support they need to thrive and develop. Through qualified investigations and careful follow-up work according to SoL and LVU, you always focus on the best interests of the child. In your work, you use the BBIC method (Children's Needs in Focus) to map and analyze the child's needs, which provides a solid foundation for your decisions and interventions. At the same time, you apply the Signs of Safety approach, which strengthens families' own resources and creates solutions together with them.
In the role of investigative social worker, you must be analytical, able to handle complex cases, and be responsive to the needs of children and families. The work requires good legal competence, the ability to make well-founded decisions, as well as flexibility and resilience in a changing and often pressured work environment. Since the work largely relies on collaboration, we are looking for someone who finds it both stimulating and rewarding to work with others to find the best solutions for children and families. Your ability to build good relationships and work together with others is central to achieving success in the role.
QUALIFICATIONS
To work with us, you need to have a degree in social work and preferably previous experience in public authority work in the area of children and youth.
It is advantageous if you:
- Have knowledge and experience of working according to Signs of Safety
- Have further education in domestic violence
