Your Responsibilities

The production department handles both the manufacturing and packaging of Firefly's high-tech products and systems. These products and systems require advanced assembly, involving both mechanics and electronics. Therefore, you will continuously measure and monitor the quality of incoming materials for both production and storage. Another important task is to perform, order, and be responsible for the calibration of measuring instruments and production equipment. You will also read drawings and specifications and use measuring equipment to verify that the materials meet specified requirements.

Worth Knowing

The position is located in Hammarby Sjöstad in Stockholm and is a permanent employment with the company starting by agreement. Initially, you will report to the Production Manager but will eventually report to the Supplier Quality Manager. The production department consists of about 20 employees, and you will have close contact with purchasing, development, and quality departments as well as suppliers. In this operational role, you will work from the office. Your working hours are 38.5 hours/week with flexible working hours. Occasional travel may occur in this position.

Our Expectations

We are looking for someone with education in measurement technology or equivalent work experience, as well as a few years of experience in similar tasks within the manufacturing industry. You should be able to read drawings and specifications and have good language skills in both Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have experience from machining processes within mechanics. Experience handling more advanced mechanical measurement methods, such as roundness measurement and glass measurement, is also desirable. An understanding of electronics, including testing of circuit boards and suppliers, is a plus.

Furthermore, experience in calibration and collaboration with calibration firms is meritorious. It is also beneficial if you have experience working with CNC or in an industry where machines are used and then transitioned to measurement technology.
