Service and Maintenance Technician

About the Company

Signal & Andersson is a family-owned business in its fifth generation, originating from the Saluhallen in Gothenburg. We manufacture all our charcuterie products ourselves and take pride in being able to produce and deliver quality charcuterie such as sausages, ham, and bacon to our customers across Sweden on a daily basis. In 2020, we became owners of AJ Dahlberg's slaughterhouse located in Dalsland, a long-term investment in Swedish meat raw materials. The same year, we also launched Gårdsmärkt, a quality label that informs consumers exactly which farm the raw materials come from.

About the Job

Working as a service and maintenance technician with us at Signal & Andersson means a variety of tasks where no two days are the same. Among the tasks that a day could include are service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of machines, as well as welding, inspections, and preventive work.

Profile

In addition to your skills, we will place emphasis on your personal qualities, characterized by being self-driven, meticulous, and having problem-solving abilities that enable you to handle various challenges in your workday. You work proactively, constantly seeking improvements, and with a curious mindset, you are eager to learn new things. We prefer that you have a few years of experience, preferably in the food industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service and repair machines and fixed installations.
  • Weld.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Document completed work and report to your service and maintenance manager.
  • When necessary, work on preventive maintenance guided by: maintenance plan, internal and external audits, and deviation management.

Requirements

  • Experience in repair and service work.
  • Knowledge of welding.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Driver's license B, travel in the job may occur.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Basic computer skills.

Meritorious

  • Knowledge in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in the food industry.

Salary and Employment Conditions We have a collective agreement with the Food Workers Union.
