Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to offering complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions. Our values – customer first, respect, teamwork, responsibility, and waste elimination – permeate everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

About the role

We are now looking for a tax specialist focusing on corporate tax for our headquarters in Södertälje. The Scania Group operates through approximately 180 subsidiaries in more than 70 countries around the world. In this role, your mission is to manage a wide range of tax issues that arise within the Scania Group, focusing on corporate tax matters, together with the other corporate tax specialist in the tax department and other colleagues. You will work on tax issues independently and collaboratively with colleagues on ongoing matters as well as in small and large projects. The role includes global responsibility, but you will work particularly closely with Swedish tax issues.

Your main responsibilities

  • Monitor, respond to, provide advice on, and drive tax issues in ongoing operations and projects.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report global tax risks.
  • Keep track of relevant tax news and implement changes.
  • Develop procedures for managing tax issues within the group and assist with training initiatives on tax matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of Swedish income tax returns and lead work on interest deductions and group contributions.
  • Respond to tax inquiries from authorities, auditors, and parent companies.
  • Support the group's M&A function with tax expertise.

Who are you?

  • You have a university degree in law or economics.
  • You have at least four years of experience working with Swedish tax issues as a tax advisor and/or with corporate tax issues in a larger company's tax department.
  • You are independent and outgoing, have good communication skills, and find it easy to collaborate.
  • You are proficient in both Swedish and the corporate language English.

  • We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – your unique experience and perspectives are valuable to us.

Who are we?

The Scania tax department is part of a team of 15 experts in tax, customs, and pensions, of which five focus on tax issues in the areas of Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Tax Controlling. The tax department is responsible for ensuring that the group's issues regarding tax, customs, and pensions are handled efficiently and systematically. Ongoing tax issues are primarily managed by local finance departments, but we support in new and/or more complex matters. We are a cheerful and social group with an open atmosphere, and we support each other in both big and small matters.

Scania offers

We offer a dynamic and flexible workplace with hybrid work opportunities, including Scania Sergel and Midway hubs. With a structured development plan and courses, Scania supports your career development both locally and internationally.

Benefits include training at our health center Gröndal or wellness allowance, performance bonus, flexible working hours, and the possibility of a company car. Scania also organizes events for employees and their families, and residents in Stockholm have direct access to Södertälje via Scania Job express buses.

Application

Your application should include a CV and degree certificate. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity in our recruitment processes.

Apply as soon as possible, no later than 2025-04-22. Selection is ongoing during the application period. Logic and personality tests may be used in our selection process, and a background check may need to be conducted for this position.
