At Parks and Green Spaces, we are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's green areas and public outdoor environments. The park section consists of 15 employees who manage public places and outdoor environments within the municipality, both on public land and on private property where the municipality is the property owner. These areas and objects include playgrounds, squares, parks, municipal properties, schools/kindergartens, and forest land close to urban areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a park worker, you will be responsible for the maintenance of green and gravel areas, trees, hedges, and bushes. Job tasks include watering, sand removal, maintenance of playgrounds, litter picking, minor landscaping work, and repairs. In spring and summer, the focus is on planting, lawn mowing, and care of plants and meadows. Fall and winter involve tree care, snow removal, and ice prevention. Year-round, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of park areas.

On-call duty may be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you are a confident and stable person with a solution-oriented approach to finding solutions to any problems that may arise. You can work independently as well as in a team, and since this is a physical job, it is important that you feel comfortable being in constant motion at work.

Other requirements:

• Driving license B for manual transmission
• Education in gardening, forestry, agriculture, property management, or equivalent
• Several years of experience in green space maintenance
• You can communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge and experience in handling various types of gardening machinery.

Meritorious:

• Experience using a wheel loader for various gardening tasks
• Experience in managing meadows, either manually and/or with a tractor and associated mowing equipment
• Training such as; Chainsaw ABC, Brushcutter RA/RB, Work on Roads, BE license, Hot Work, and Aerial Work Platform
