About the job

You will work alongside your colleagues to produce statistics in the agricultural field in the best possible way. The harvest statistics are produced on behalf of the Swedish Board of Agriculture, and other agricultural statistics are produced on behalf of the Chemicals Agency and on our own account. The statistics you produce are used for assessing food supply, emergency planning, monitoring environmental goals, and international reporting, and form the basis for political assessments and decisions. The statistics serve as a foundation for public debate and analysis by researchers, authorities, and international organizations.

Do you want to...

  • contribute to and be responsible for harvest surveys and other agricultural surveys, e.g., regarding the use of plant protection products and fertilizers and cultivation measures
  • plan, follow up, and coordinate various surveys
  • participate in ongoing improvement and development work in various surveys
  • have contacts with other statistics-responsible authorities, primarily the Swedish Board of Agriculture
  • participate in international reporting

... then we believe this position could be really interesting for you!

  • good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you also have

  • courses in statistics

  • knowledge of plant protection products
  • experience working with statistical production
  • knowledge of script-based programs such as SAS and SQL, as well as good knowledge of the Office suite
  • experience in investigative work
  • experience in project management
  • practical experience in agriculture.

For this to be a good match for both you and us, you need to have good collaboration skills and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You also have good analytical skills and are quality-conscious and persistent. We expect you to have an interest in statistical production.

As an applicant, you share our values: the courage to act, trust in each other's competence and goodwill, the ability to turn words into action, and each person's responsibility to contribute to the whole.
