The most important job of the future
We want to lead the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and minerals industry?
Your role
We are looking for an engaged planner for the Malmberget pellet plant 3 and Bandungsverket (MK3/BUV). In this key role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and preparing maintenance work, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage, plan, and prepare incoming fault reports within the mechanical area
- Order and inventory spare parts and consumables
- Lead and coordinate internal and external resources
- Be the contact person for external actors and suppliers
- Support the workplace with work guidance as needed
- Play a key role during FU stops and maintenance efforts
- Assist contractors and specialists with fault analysis, repairs, and local knowledge
As a planner with us, you will have a varied and responsible role where your contribution is crucial for smooth maintenance work.
Your ability to collaborate and communicate is important, as you will work closely with both colleagues and suppliers. You will be part of a team with two planners but will also work closely with other sections within maintenance and operations.
What you bring
We are looking for a responsible and structured person with the ability to prioritize and delegate work. You are meticulous and value order and tidiness – a crucial factor in maintenance.
You have good collaboration skills and are skilled at building relationships. Your communication skills are important, as you work closely with both colleagues and suppliers. You enjoy contributing to both your own and the organization's development.
The position also involves some solitary work, which requires you to be self-sufficient and comfortable working independently.
We prefer that you have knowledge of facilities, experience with machinery and maintenance, as well as product knowledge and a good understanding of quality. It is also advantageous if you have training in inspection, quality knowledge, process knowledge, or vibration measurement. Experience in planning, preparation, or similar areas, along with good mechanical knowledge and local facility knowledge, is also a plus.
Requirements for the position:
- Approved high school grades
- Class B driver's license
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good computer skills
What you get
- Reward program
- Free training at LKAB's own gym and with our partners at operational sites in Norrbotten

- Enhanced parental leave with up to 90 percent of your regular salary for up to six months (after one year of employment)
- Support and assistance in case of illness or in questions about work environment, health, wellness, and rehabilitation
- Compensation for dental care and protective and terminal glasses
- Opportunity to apply for scholarships for studies for both you and your children
- Opportunity to join our pension and insurance program at favorable prices
