We are part of the Psychiatric Center in Region Östergötland.

The Youth Health Center in Norrköping is a collaboration between Norrköping Municipality and Region Östergötland to promote sexual and psychosocial health among young people aged 13-25 years. Our clinic employs psychologists, social workers, midwives, and gynecologists. We also operate in Finspång and Söderköping, and collaborate in Valdemarsvik. The goal of the youth health services is to promote physical and mental health, focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights for young people. We are looking for a licensed psychologist who is interested in working with youth on these issues.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include assessment and treatment of mild to moderate mental health issues as well as support conversations, counseling, and information aimed at youth aged 13-21 years. An important part of our mission is collaboration with healthcare neighbors, schools, and social services. Together with other staff, you will participate in the youth health center's preventive work, which includes providing information to schools and group study visits. The job involves evening clinics one day a week.

About You

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. We prefer that you have experience working with treatment and psychotherapeutic work with children/youth and their families.

A strong interest in working with youth and young adults is essential, as is having an open and positive attitude where you base your work on everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings with youth. It is important that you can work independently and ensure that your work is performed accurately and thoroughly, while also enjoying being part of a team where everyone has something to contribute. Putting youth at the center is obvious to you, and you find it rewarding to develop and improve care. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
