Our Operations

Do you, like us, find women's health exciting, want to learn more, and develop with us? Supporting women through all stages of life, in both joy and sorrow, with and against adversity, is incredibly rewarding and something we are passionate about in our field. We are now looking for midwives, but experienced nurses are also welcome to our gynecological specialist clinics. The gynecological specialist clinics consist of family planning, pelvic floor clinic, dysplasia unit, endometriosis center, outpatient surgery, and emergency care.

In the emergency department, we receive about 500 patients each month with acute gynecological and obstetric issues, such as abdominal pain, bleeding, problems in early pregnancy, and infections. In collaboration with the National Center for Women's Peace (NCK), we also receive women who have been subjected to sexual violence. In the emergency department, you will work with care, assessment, prioritization, and treatment of the acutely ill patient. We have seen an increased need to coordinate acute visits within women's health and have therefore initiated work for a joint emergency department for gynecological and obstetric patients.

In family planning, we provide counseling for unplanned pregnancies and guide women who wish to undergo an abortion. We offer telephone counseling, contraceptive advice, and perform certain abortions as day care. The pelvic floor clinic receives patients with urinary problems, prolapse, or persistent issues from childbirth, as well as vulvar problems. The dysplasia unit and appointment office for cervical cancer screening work with both screening activities and treatment after cell changes.

Akademiska sjukhuset and our endometriosis center provide national highly specialized care (NHV) for certain endometriosis. The mission focuses on advanced surgery that about 250 patients in Sweden need each year. We also accept referrals to the endometriosis center for assessment. In outpatient surgery, we perform minor procedures under local anesthesia, such as heat treatments, insertion and removal of IUDs, and removal of polyps.

Your Mission

We are now looking for midwives, but we also welcome experienced nurses who want to work in our broad operations.

With us, you will meet patients with gynecological diseases or issues at all ages and stages of life. The tasks consist of receiving patients in the emergency department and making an initial assessment and being part of the team around the acute patient, as well as some traditional outpatient work, including telephone counseling, scheduling, sampling, and information before surgery.

Your Qualifications

Licensed midwife or nurse. As a person, you are independent, responsible, and organized, and have a professional attitude. You are secure and stable as a person and in your professional role. We value your flexibility and interest in quality work. You are interested in being part of our team and contributing to our good collaboration between professions, and of course, you are curious about how we can together build women's health stronger in the future. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

We Offer

We offer you a permanent position at 100%. Rotation day/evening/weekend. Start date by agreement. A probationary period of up to 6 months may apply. Recruitment is ongoing.
