JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Lindholmen Technical Gymnasium, there is a long tradition of providing upper secondary education in the Industrial Technology area. We are currently housed in new, modern premises with a machinery park that very well meets the needs and wishes of the industry. Today, we have about 85 students in the industrial technology program from year 1 to 3. We currently offer three specializations in the program: Operational Reliability and Maintenance, Product and Machine Specialization, and Welding Technology Specialization.

Do you want to make a difference? Driving and developing education in the technical field, which provides students with sought-after skills, is making a difference. At Lindholmen Technical Gymnasium, we are currently a player in the region's skills supply. Our ambition is for our education to be relevant and to relate to the needs and demands of the professional world and industry. This is so that students can enter a profession after completing their studies.

Here at Lindholmen Technical Gymnasium, you will work in the field of industrial technology and with the specialization in Welding Technology. You will have the opportunity to be part of our welding specialization, where you and your colleagues design a rich and varied school day, and where you challenge and support students in good learning and good study results.

Your tasks involve planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching individually and together with colleagues according to the school's governing documents. You will conduct varied and adapted teaching based on the students' needs and current situation, where continuous feedback to your students has a given place. Part of the assignment involves contributing to the development and marketing of the program in collaboration with the rest of the school and the industry. The assignment includes APL procurement as well as continuous follow-ups and visits.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have competence and experience working with all welding methods related to manufacturing, repair, and assembly, as well as experience with various types of sheet metal work. It is desirable that you have experience with automated robotic welding and/or maintenance technology such as troubleshooting, commissioning/maintenance.

Teacher certification and eligibility are desirable but not required. We are looking for someone who has personal competencies and professional skills as a priority, and eligibility and teaching experience as a secondary consideration. If you are not a qualified teacher, we can offer you a temporary position while you study. A teaching degree is required for permanent employment.

To succeed in this role, we believe you are secure, stable, and have a solution-oriented approach where creativity and curiosity have room. You have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and not only identify problems that arise but are also part of the solution by contributing ideas, alternatives, and flexibility. You communicate and resolve conflicts constructively. You express a positive attitude and act in accordance with decisions made, policies, and guidelines because you see the bigger picture and the best interests of the entire organization in your actions and decisions.

We believe that a success factor in working with our students is your ability to adapt teaching to the individual student's needs and language level, as well as your ability to create motivation among students, not least by supporting them in their work with a clear goal in their studies.

You have good collaboration skills and a willingness to drive your own and school-wide projects. You have a commitment and interest in driving development within the Industrial Technology program, in collaboration with businesses and companies in our local area. We believe you are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts, where you create and operate in industry-related networks.

Together, we work to create good conditions for your success in this assignment. Welcome with your application for this exciting role!
