Aröds Mekaniska Verkstad is looking for an operator for their gear manufacturing department

Aröds Mekaniska Verkstads AB is a well-renowned subcontractor of machining that has been in the industry for nearly 75 years and is located in the Aröd Industrial Area in Hisingen, Gothenburg.

Our challenge is to deliver components that meet our customers' expectations and on time. Among our 200 active customers are both large and small companies in various industries, which makes us less vulnerable to potential economic fluctuations.

We manufacture components from single pieces to smaller series in various material qualities. In addition to traditional machining, we specialize in the production of gears and sprockets.

We are now offering a position in our gear manufacturing, which also includes the production of gears and sprockets.

Your tasks:

• Gear milling, gear shaping
• Reading technical drawings
• Preparing and setting up machines/jobs according to drawings and/or setup sheets
• Changing tools and assessing their condition
• Deburring and performing other related tasks
• Measuring and inspecting components
• Performing routine maintenance on machines
• Regular manual milling is also included

Your education/background/skills

• You have education in machining (lathe/milling) and have experience with both CNC and conventional machines.
• You have gained your skills by working in a smaller/mid-sized mechanical company where you have had the opportunity to work with various tasks and levels of difficulty.
• You are proficient in reading technical drawings and measurement techniques to deliver quality work to our customers.
• You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

• You should be responsible, self-driven, and have a technical interest.
• You always strive to deliver well-executed work.
• Furthermore, we believe you are driven to deliver quality in everything you do.

Working hours/scope/start date

The work is scheduled during daytime hours. Full-time. Start as soon as possible.
