About Us

Närhälsan Styrsö Health Center is a small clinic located in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg.

On five of our islands, about 4,500 residents live year-round, and over 4,000 of them are registered at Styrsö Health Center. Despite the proximity to Gothenburg, the work at Styrsö Health Center has a distinct rural character. In addition to general practice and child health care, our doctors also work with special accommodations and, when needed, ASIH. We have a very close collaboration with HSV, which is located in our premises. We are there for our patients from cradle to grave. On our smaller islands, we also have clinics at branches. At the health center, we also have our own rehabilitation clinic with a physiotherapist and occupational therapist.

About the Job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide range of responsibilities and include the field of general medicine where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-oriented in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital consultations, and at the clinic.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You will largely work independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues in the unit and cross-professionally in the team, as well as with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the health center management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students is also part of your role at the health center.

About You

You are a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience working in primary care and/or have completed a mentoring course of 7.5 credits, but we also welcome recent graduates.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize your tasks.

In your work, you will meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is natural to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We also hope you have an interest in digitalization and operational development.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection occurs in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite candidates for a phone interview. Then the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
